An Act relative to retirement benefits for Richard Drury.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide forthwith certain retirement benefits, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Notwithstanding paragraph (h) of subdivision 1 of section 4 of chapter 32 or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Franklin regional retirement board  shall grant Richard Drury 5 years   of creditable service in the Franklin regional retirement system upon payment into the annuity savings fund of the system of an amount equal to 10 per cent of his annual rate of salary when he first entered the retirement system for each year that is being purchased.
