An Act relative to essential health benefits.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 59 of Chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting
SECTION 2: Section 31A of Chapter 63 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following subsection:-
(n) Any corporation that receives a tax credit under this section shall provide to its employees a health insurance plan that includes, at a minimum, all of the essential health benefits required under the Massachusetts essential health benefit benchmark plan.
SECTION 3: Section 31C of said Chapter 63, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting the following subsection:-
(e) Any corporation that receives a tax credit under this section shall provide to its employees a health insurance plan that includes, at a minimum, all of the essential health benefits required under the Massachusetts essential health benefit benchmark plan.
SECTION 4: Section 31M of said Chapter 63, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting the following subsection:-
(g) Any corporation subject to taxes imposed by chapter 63 that receives a tax credit under this section shall provide to its employees a health insurance plan that includes, at a minimum, all of the essential health benefits required under the Massachusetts essential health benefit benchmark plan.
SECTION 5: Section 38M of said Chapter 63, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting the following subsection:-
(k) Any corporation that receives a tax credit under this section shall provide to its employees a health insurance plan that includes, at a minimum, all of the essential health benefits required under the Massachusetts essential health benefit benchmark plan.
SECTION 6: Section 38N of said Chapter 63, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting the following subsection:-
(h) Any corporation that receives a tax credit under this section shall provide to its employees a health insurance plan that includes, at a minimum, all of the essential health benefits required under the Massachusetts benchmark plan.
