An Act relative to liability insurance for licensed site professionals.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 21A is hereby amended by inserting after section 19J the following section titled “Mandatory Liability Insurance”:-Section 19K: Any professional licensed by the Board as an authorized hazardous waste site cleanup professional must carry liability insurance in an amount no less than $100,000. The Board shall suspend any hazardous waste site cleanup professional who is operating without said insurance until said professional is covered by liability insurance.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect January 1, 2017.
