An Act relative to the creation of a training tax credit.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (r) the following new subsection:-

(s) There shall be a credit for any employer based in Massachusetts who with their own resources including but not limited to training at employer own facilities, payment for training at a third party facility hires individuals for at least two weeks. The credit shall be $500 for each newly hired full time employee hired in the first three quarters of that fiscal year, not to exceed $25,000 per business in any calendar year.

SECTION 2. SECTION 1 shall expire on July 1, 2019.
