An Act creating lysosomal storage disorder awareness month.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 6 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by adding, after section 15TTTTT, the following:-

Section 15UUUUU. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the month of July as Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSSDs) Awareness Month, to increase awareness and understanding of the 6 diseases that can cause peripheral nervous system suffering and deaths in infants and young children. LSSDs are rare inherited diseases which can be less debilitating if screened for and detected early in newborns.
