An Act observing United States Navy Day.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 15RRRRR of Chapter 6 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following section:-

Section 15SSSSS. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the thirteenth day of October as United States Navy Day, in recognition of Massachusetts as the birthplace of the United States Navy and in commemoration of the promulgation of the establishment of the Continental Navy on the thirteenth of October in the year seventeen hundred and seventy-five.
