An Act relative to water meter testing fees.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The first sentence of section 39I of chapter 40 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words "rate for such quarter or", in line 5, the following word:- "billing"; and said section 39I is hereby further amended in the third sentence by striking out, in lines 12-14, the words "and in no case shall the expense so required to be paid exceed three dollars for each examination and test"; and said section 39I is hereby further amended in said sentence by striking out, in line 15, the words "two per cent of accuracy" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- "American Water Works Association (AWWA) accuracy standards".
