Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the actions of the town of Carver and its board of selectmen with respect to the provision of health insurance and benefits provided to its employees or retirees after the town accepted section 10 of chapter 32B of the general laws in 1966, and all actions pursuant thereto, are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed as if the town and its board had properly voted to approve the provision of health insurance benefits to its employees and retirees in accordance with law.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Carver shall contribute 75 per cent of the cost of the premium for group health insurance coverage provided by the town to an eligible retiree who retires not later than June 30, 2025 and who elects coverage under the town’s group health insurance.
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the town of Carver shall contribute 50 per cent of the cost of the premium for group health insurance coverage provided by the town to an eligible retiree who retires after June 30, 2025 and who elects coverage under the town’s group health insurance.
