An Act to require corporate social responsibility reporting.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 16.22 of Chapter 156D of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after item (8) the following new item:-

(9) In corporations with fifty or more employees: information on social responsibility, including but not limited to their policies on diversity, social issues, charity and community service, and on the environment.

SECTION 2. Section 26A of Chapter 180 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting on line 10 after the word “meeting;” the following words:- “In corporations with fifty or more employees other than public charities: information on social responsibility, including but not limited to their policies on diversity, social issues, charity and community service, and on the environment;
