An Act establishing Peace Day in the Commonwealth.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after Section 15XXXXX the following new section:-
Section 15YYYYY. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart September 21 as Peace Day, to recognize and further the goals of Peace Day in the United States, and International Peace Day, and in memory of those lost to acts of violence, and recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
