An Act relative to disability insurance benefits.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. Chapter 175 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after 108E the following section:-

Section 108F. No insurance policy or plan, insuring persons disabled by reason of injury, illness, disease, self-reported symptoms or post-traumatic stress disorder shall discriminated against any insured person by eliminating benefits or by reducing benefits by reason of the insured person being disabled, either in whole or in part, by a mental or nervous condition; or by self-reported symptoms documented by a duly licensed physician; or by chronic fatigue syndrome also known as chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction syndrome also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis also known as ME; or by post-traumatic stress disorder also known as PTSD.
