An Act relative to personal responsibility in funding long term care.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the executive office of health and human services shall seek from the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services an exemption or waiver to 42 U.S.C. §1307a(a)(17)(D) and 42 C.F.R. §447.15 to allow supplementation of Medicaid payments by residents and/or their families for non-medical portion of care.
