(2015-2016)
_______________
An Act relative to adolescent development.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Executive Office of Health and Human Services is hereby directed to develop a plan to identify and treat adolescents at risk of committing mass violence. This plan should emphasize individuals' risk profile, not the presence or absence of mental illness. The plan should build on the Report on Patient and Staff Safety completed in 2011, but also consider additional sources of information in order to address the challenges presented by all young people, whether or not they have been diagnosed with mental illness.
