An Act relative to uniform financial aid information.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 69 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 31D the following new section:-

Section 31E. Any college, university, community college, junior college, or other school of higher education, whether public or private, shall, upon accepting any applicant for admission to such institution, provide to said applicant a uniform financial aid information shopping sheet. Each institution shall provide this sheet prior to the institution’s enrollment deadline to allow each applicant sufficient time to make an informed decision about enrollment. Each institution shall use the financial aid shopping sheet developed by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the United States Department of Education pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act, P.L. 110-135, to provide this information.
