An Act relative to local housing authorities.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, the Joint Committee on Housing of the Massachusetts Legislature is hereby directed to conduct a review and make recommendations relative to the implementation of Chapter 235 of the Acts of 2014.  In making its review, the committee may consult with the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, and the Massachusetts Union of Public Housing Tenants.  As part of its review the committee shall make recommendations pursuant to appropriate funding levels for the state public housing program necessary to fulfill the goals and objectives of said chapter.  The committee shall make a report, along with drafts of legislation to the clerk of the house and clerk of the senate by December 1, 2015.
