An Act relative to custody of minors.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Said chapter 190B, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out the first paragraph and inserting in place thereof the following paragraph:-
(a) The court may appoint as guardian any person whose appointment would be in the best interest of the minor. The court shall equally consider a person nominated by the minor, if the minor is 14 or more years of age, unless the court finds the appointment contrary to the best interest of the minor.
