An Act relative to willingness to work requirements for unemployment benefits.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 24 of chapter 151A of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after subsection (b) the following new subsection:-

(b1/2) Be willing to accept work when the offered position is considered reasonably relative to the position previously held by the claimant, the type of work offered is such that the claimant is capable of performing, and/or there is no medical reason restricting the claimant from the offered position.
