An Act to restore collective bargaining for teachers and other school employees.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1.

Chapter 69 0f the Massachusetts General Laws Official Edition is amended in Section 1K:

1.By deleting in sub-section (d) sub-sub-section (5) in its entirety; and,

2.By deleting in sub-sub-section (8) the words: “or practices” each time it appears; and,

3.By deleting in its entirety sub-sub-section (e); and,

4.By deleting in sub-sub-section (h) in sentence six the words: “contracts, collective bargaining agreements or”.

Section 2.

Chapter 69 of the Massachusetts General Laws Official Edition is amended in Section 1J:

1.By deleting in sub-section (d) in its entirety sub-sub-section (8); and,

2.By deleting in sub-section (d) sub-sub-section (9) the words “of practices” each time it appears; and,

3.By deleting in sub-section (d) sub-sub-section (g) in its entirety; and,

4.By striking the period at the end of the first sentence in sub-section (i) and adding the words: “subject to Chapter 150E. ; and,

5.By striking in the third paragraph of sub-section (k) the second sentence in its entirety; and,

6.By striking in sub-section (o) sub-sub-section (7) in its entirety; and,

7.By deleting in sub-section (o) sub-sub-section (9) the words: “or practices” each time it appears; and,

8.By striking the period at the end of the first sentence in sub-section (s) and adding the words: “subject to Chapter 150E.”.
