An Act providing for equitable armed forces paid leave benefits for public employees.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Subsection (a) of section 59 of chapter 33 of the General Laws, inserted by section 42 of chapter 307 of the acts 2014, is hereby amended by striking out, as appearing in said section 42 of said chapter 307, the words “and not exceeding 17 days in any federal fiscal year” and inserting in place thereof:- as a member of the armed forces of the commonwealth and not exceeding 34 days in any federal fiscal year as a member of a reserve component of the armed forces of the United States.
