An Act relative to the position of director of public works in the town of West Boylston.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. The second paragraph of section 3 of chapter 77 of the Acts of 2001 is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following 2 sentences:- The director of public works shall be selected on the basis of merit and qualifications. The preferred candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or other appropriate discipline, and be registered as a professional civil engineer, and possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in public works construction and management.

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
