An Act relative to the Board of Building Regulations and Standards.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 97 of chapter 143 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the first paragraph the following new paragraph:-
Notwithstanding any special or general law to the contrary, the board may not adopt an amendment to the state building code that permits a city or town to accept such amendment on a local option basis. This paragraph shall not apply to 780 CMR 115.AA and any amendments or revisions made thereto by the board.
