An Act relative to energy score at point of audit.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 21 of Chapter 25 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-

(b)(4) Residential energy audits included in the plan shall assign a score, such as the Department of Energy Home Energy Score, to each audited building. Upon completion of any energy efficiency measures, the score shall be adjusted to reflect the change in energy efficiency. Homeowners shall have the option to include the score in their Multiple Listing Service information at time of proposed sale.
