An Act relative to lottery ticket litter reduction.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 133 of the acts of 2016 is hereby amended by inserting in section 2, in item 0640-0010, the following clause:-

; and provided further, that not less than 5 per cent of the amount appropriated in this item shall be expended by the state treasurer for the creation, implementation, and marketing of a “second chance lottery program” to encourage the recycling of lottery tickets to reduce waste and litter.
