An Act relative to high-occupancy vehicle lanes.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1: Section 142E of Chapter 111 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after at the end of the section the following:-

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the secretary of transportation shall include in any and all regulations regarding high occupancy vehicles, the following: any taxi or livery operator on route to pick up a passenger, shall be authorized for travel on lanes designated for use by high-occupancy vehicles.
