An Act An act exempting veterans from paying tolls.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. Subsection (a) of Section 10 of chapter 81A of the General Laws, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph: - The authority shall not charge or collect a toll for transit over the turnpike and the different parts and sections thereof by private passenger vehicles registered to veterans, as certified by the United States Department of Defense. The authority shall issue passes or stickers to carry out the provisions of this paragraph.

Section 1. Subsection (b) of Section 10 of Chapter 81A of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph: - The authority shall not charge or collect a toll for transit through the Callahan Tunnel, the Sumner Tunnel, or the Ted Williams Tunnel by private passenger vehicles registered to veterans, as certified by the United States Department of Defense. The authority shall issue passes or stickers to carry out the provisions of this paragraph.
