An Act imposing a life sentence as punishment for a second or subsequent conviction of the crime of rape.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 22 of chapter 265 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by deleting, in line 26, the words “or for any term or years”.
SECTION 2. Section 22 of chapter 265 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by deleting, in line 32, the words “or for any term of years, but not less than 15 years”.
