An Act relative to apprenticeship programs.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Said section 11H of chapter 23, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out the definition “apprenticeship program” and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-

“Apprenticeship Program”, a program which is registered with the division for recruitment, selection, employment, training and qualification of apprentices, on public projects and will commit to having apprentices on jobsites by 180 calendar days after start of contract.

SECTION 2.  Said section 11H of chapter 23, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out the definition “apprenticeship program sponsor” and inserting in place thereof the following definition:-

“Apprenticeship Program Sponsor”, a person, association, committee, organization, corporation, partnership, trust or other entity operating an apprentice program on public projects and will commit to having apprentices on jobsite by 180 calendar days after start of contract.
