An Act relative to zoning and solar farms.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of chapter 40A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the ninth paragraph.
SECTION 2. Section 9B of chapter 40A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following paragraph:-
“The installation of solar energy systems or the building of structures to facilitate the collection of solar energy shall be subject to local zoning ordinance or by-laws.”
