SECTION 1. Section 138 of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the words “chapter 25A” in line 21 the following definition:-

“Bioenergy gasification net metering facility”, a facility that (1) generates electricity from a biogas produced by the gasification of organic materials; and (2) has been determined by the department of energy resources, in coordination with the department of environmental protection, to qualify under the department of energy resources regulations as a Class I renewable energy generating source under section 11F(b)(8) of chapter 25A.

SECTION 2. Said section of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by inserting after the words “an anaerobic digestion net metering facility,” in line 48 the following words:-

“bioenergy gasification net metering facility,”

SECTION 3. Said section of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by inserting after the words “an anaerobic digestion net metering facility,” in line 66-67 the following words:-

“bioenergy gasification net metering facility,”

SECTION 4. Said section of chapter 164 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby further amended by inserting after the words “an anaerobic digestion net metering” in line 73 the following words:-

“bioenergy gasification net metering,”
