Ferguson and others relative to alcoholic beverage manufacturers' licenses for the sale of malt beverages to be drunk on the premises.  Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure.

An Act relative to alcoholic beverage manufacturer pouring licenses.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 19 of chapter 138 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting, in line 1, before the words “The Commission”, the following:- (a).

SECTION 2. Said section 19 of said chapter 138 as so appearing is hereby further amended by inserting at the end thereof, the following subsection:-

(b) Notwithstanding section 17, a local licensing authority, subject to the approval of the commission, may grant a license to sell malt beverages for consumption on the brewery premises to a manufacturer authorized to manufacture alcoholic beverages pursuant to this section; provided, however, that such licensees may sell for on-premises consumption malt beverages produced by the manufacturer or produced for the manufacturer and sold under the manufacturer’s brand name.
