The undersigned legislators and/or citizens respectfully petition for the adoption of the accompanying order that the joint committee on Ways and Means and the House and Senate committees on Post Audit and Oversight hold public hearings requiring public colleges and universities to assign their portion of the pension liability of the Commonwealth.

Ordered, That, the joint committee on ways and means and the house and senate committees on post audit and oversight shall hold public hearings on the implementation of the Government Accounting Standards Board statement number 68, by the state comptroller as directed by KPMG US LLC, requiring public colleges and universities to assign their portion of the state’s pension liability.

The committees acting independently or jointly shall issue a report detailing their findings of the rationale used by the state comptroller and KPMG US LLC.
