An Act relative to registering a motor vehicle.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 3 1/2 of Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition is hereby amended in:
Section C. line 4, strike the language “, shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $200 nor more than $1,000 for each offense. And replace with “shall be punished by a fine of not less than $500.00 nor more than $2,000.00 for each offense."
line 14 strike the language “As an alternative to criminal prosecution, violation of this section may be disposed of as a civil motor vehicle infraction in the amount of $500 under chapter 90C,” and replace with " As an alternative to criminal prosecution, violation of this section may be disposed of as a civil motor vehicle infraction in the amount of $1,000.00 under chapter 90C."
