An Act relative to the penalty for the sale and use of fireworks.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 16 of Chapter 148 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 11, the words “one hundred”, and inserting in the place thereof the following words: - “one thousand”.

SECTION 2. Section 39 of Chapter 148 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 18, the words “one hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars”, and inserting in the place thereof the following words: - “one thousand dollars nor more than two thousand five hundred dollars”.

SECTION 3. Section 39 of Chapter 148 of the General Laws as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 27-28, the words “ten dollars nor more than one hundred dollars.”, and inserting in the place thereof the following words: - “one hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one month, or both.”.
