An Act to increase the minimum wage for private sector human service workers.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 257 of the Acts of 2008 is amended in Section 4 by inserting after the words “cost within that area as a whole;” the following words:-

; and (d) the cost of bringing the lowest funded position at any agency up to $15.00 per hour on January 1, 2016 with annual increases each January 1st thereafter equal to increases the preceding year in the Consumer Price Index - All Urban Consumers or its successor index as published by the U.S. Department of Labor or its successor agency and corresponding increases to other non-management positions.
