An Act regarding school choice.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 12B of chapter 76 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(p)  Any student who chooses to attend a school outside of the district in which the student resides by participating in the inter-district school choice program established by this section, and the student’s parents or guardian, shall first meet with the school administration in the district in which the student resides before the student leaves that district to discuss the reasons for leaving the district.
