Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 140, sec. 131J Shall be amended by:
Striking the words “or municipal law enforcement agencies” in subsection (2) and replacing it with the following, “, municipal law enforcement agencies, or those authorized through subsection (3).”
Striking the word “or” before “(2)” and replacing it with a “,”
And further by inserting after the words “appropriate use of portable electrical weapons” the following “, or (3) a person who possesses a Class A firearm license as outlined in Ch. 140 ss 131 and undergoes training outlined by the secretary of public safety. Any and all laws pertaining to Class A weapons shall apply to the use of electrical current weapons.
A device or weapon sold under this section shall include a mechanism for tracking the number of times the device or weapon has been fired.
