An Act to protect rental car customers.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following new section: -

Section 32E3/4A.  If a rental company includes a fee for electronic tolls incurred by the driver as a charge in a rental transaction, the amount of the fee shall represent the actual cost of the tolls and rental company's good faith estimate of actual costs necessary for the rental company to recover the tolls incurred by the driver.  No rental company may charge a rental fee for an electronic tolling transponder.
