An Act to protect persons in assisted living facilities.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 16 of chapter 19D of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-

Assisted living residences shall provide emergency electrical power generation to supply heating equipment needed to maintain a minimum temperature of 70°F in any living unit and common area.
