An Act requiring notation of do not resuscitate orders on electronic medical records.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 118I of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
Section 17. A physician or other health care provider who receives a patient with a disability’s order to not resuscitate or medical order for life-sustaining treatment shall indicate such order on the patient’s interoperable electronic health record.
