An Act protecting potluck events from cancellation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The second paragraph of section 328A of chapter 94 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the last 2 sentences and inserting in place thereof the following 2 sentences:- A food service establishment in which a potluck dinner is being held shall not require that such potluck event meet board of health or inspectional services standards. For the purposes of this section, the term food service establishment shall mean a place which is open to and accepts or solicits the patronage of the general public and serves food.
