An Act relative to the electronic deposit of tax refunds.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 85 of chapter 62C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the second sentence the following sentence:-  For refunds processed electronically and paid through direct deposit, the commissioner shall permit a taxpayer to elect to have his or her refund split and deposited into no more than 2 bank accounts, including, but not limited to higher education savings plans or accounts.
