An Act designating a certain bridge as the Trooper Thomas L. Clardy Memorial Bridge.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Route 49 Bridge over the Massachusetts Turnpike in Sturbridge, (Bridge Number S-30-047), shall be designated as the “Trooper Thomas L. Clardy Memorial Bridge.”
SECTION 2. The highway division shall erect and maintain conspicuous signs, plaques, or markers recognizing the “Trooper Thomas L. Clardy Memorial Bridge” stating “The Commonwealth recognizes Marine Veteran and Massachusetts State Trooper Thomas L. Clardy, killed in the line of duty on Wednesday March 16, 2016.”
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
