An Act directing the teachers’ retirement system to grant creditable service to Philip M. LeMarbre.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the public good, the teachers’ retirement system shall credit Philip M. LeMarbre with additional days to provide him with 10 years of creditable service for the purposes of determining his superannuation retirement allowance pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws. Eligibility for said creditable service shall be conditioned upon payment to the teachers’ retirement system by Philip M. LeMarbre of (1) an amount equal to the contribution he would have otherwise owed for such additional days of creditable service ; and (2) an amount equal to the total reimbursement, if any, made by the teachers’ retirement system to Philip M. LeMarbre pursuant to paragraph (m) of subdivision (1) of section 5 of said chapter 32 . Such payment shall be made in 1 sum or in installments as the retirement board shall prescribe.
