An Act to amend Chapter 175, Section 113B relative to Classification of risks and premium charges in connection with motor vehicle liability policies or bonds.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 113B of Chapter 175 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting, at the end thereof the following sentence:-

In fixing and establishing classifications of risk, the commissioner of insurance shall not promulgate any rules or regulations to add surcharge points to a motor vehicle insurance premium, based on at-fault accidents or convictions of moving violations of motor vehicle laws, for a period to exceed four years after the date of the at-fault accident or conviction of moving violation
