Keenan and Tackey Chan for legislation to designate a certain park in the city of Quincy as the Richard "Dick" Herbert memorial park.  Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture.

An Act designating a certain park in the city of Quincy as the Richard "Dick" Herbert Memorial Park.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1: The park adjacent to Wollaston beach in Quincy, situated immediately to the northeast of the intersection of East Squantum Road and Quincy Shore Drive, shall be designated and known as the “Richard ‘Dick’ Herbert Memorial Park” in recognition of his advocacy for the beautification and maintenance of public beaches, and in particular his role in establishing and leading the Friends of Wollaston Beach organization. The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

SECTION 2: This act shall take effect upon its passage.
