An Act relative to call and volunteer firefighters and EMTs.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 111F of chapter 41 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2016 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “fighter”, in line 16, the following words:- ;provided, however, that if the incapacitated firefighter is a call, volunteer, reserve or auxiliary firefighter, the amount payable by the city, town or district shall be equal to the annual entry level income for all occupations in the commonwealth on the date of the incapacity, as determined by the department of labor and workforce development.

SECTION 2. Section 111M of said chapter 41, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “personnel”, in line 15, the following words:- ;provided, however, that if the incapacitated emergency medical personnel is a call, volunteer, reserve or auxiliary emergency medical personnel, the amount payable by the city, town or district shall be equal to the annual entry level income for all occupations in the commonwealth on the date of the incapacity, as determined by the department of labor and workforce development.
