SECTION 1. The towns of Andover and North Reading, acting through their boards of selectmen, may enter into an agreement for the supply of potable water from the town of Andover to the town of North Reading subject to such terms and conditions as the boards of selectmen agree upon.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding section 4A of chapter 40 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, any agreement entered into pursuant to this act may be for a term not to exceed 99 years, including any extension or renewal terms. An agreement entered into pursuant to this act shall be subject to all of other applicable laws.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
