An Act authorizing the city of Quincy to grant veteran’s abatements of real estate taxes to certain veterans in the city of Quincy.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 5 of chapter 59 of the General Laws, or any general or special law to the contrary, the Board of Assessors of the city of Quincy is hereby authorized and directed to grant abatements of certain real estate taxes assessed for Fiscal Year 2017 upon the real property owned by Kristin and Sean Healy located at, and commonly known as, 30 Chickatabot Road, in the total amount of fourteen hundred and forty ($1,440.00) dollars.  Said sum represents a veteran’s abatement of $1,000.00 due to Kristin and $440.00 due to Sean for said fiscal year.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
