An Act relative to the Cambridge district court.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide forthwith for planning the relocation of the Cambridge district court, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The court administrator of the executive office of the trial court shall submit a report not later than December 31, 2018 to the clerks of the senate and house of representatives and the joint committee on the judiciary outlining the plan and projected timeframe for relocating the Cambridge district court from the city of Medford to the city of Cambridge.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect as of July 1, 2018.
