To the Honorable Senate and House of Representatives,

Pursuant to Article LVI, as amended by Article XC, Section 3 of the Amendments to the Constitution, I am returning to you for amendment House Bill No. 3217, “An Act providing for the annual appointment of a treasurer of the Lancaster sewer district.”

This bill changes the method for the selection of a treasurer for the Lancaster sewer district.  I have no objection to the substance of this bill.  Unfortunately, the bill inaccurately describes the session law that inserted the language that the bill purports to amend. 

For these reasons, I recommend striking the words “chapter 660 of the acts of 1970” as they appear in section 1 of the bill and replacing them with the following:- chapter 659 of the acts of 1970.
